Malt-forward strong lager. Tried this style in Florida and hated that particular version. This one is far more successful. It’s very sweet but the hops make sure they aren’t forgotten on your tongue

Surprisingly floral, and it’s rare to have a malty drink so clean. Its darkness is kinda bitter. I think it’s interesting, unique, and well made. I just don’t think it’s for me

Not sure. 3.75 may be a little high.

I sampled it at first. It was a very tasty stout followed by some minor heat. Then we split a half pour. It’s more of the same. The heat is just the right amount that it stays drinkable. Any more and it wouldn’t be. I guess that means I like it!

This is a very well done BA stout. Most definitely boozy. VERY smooth. Sweet, but not overly so. Vanilla and chocolate are present, but not at all overdone. I’m glad I’m sharing at 11%. I’m also glad it’s not tainted with unnecessary flavors.

Getting the pregames in early today. Boozy bouquet with a deceptively smooth finish. Chocolate notes without being overly sweet. A great contrast and complement to the ghost pepper stout that preceded it.

The peppers are smoked, not the beer. Important distinction for me. Peppers provide a ghostly, not ghastly, heat; present but mellows to a nice, gentle simmer in the back of the mouth. Stout is bitter upfront but has a malty finish. Not bad, not at all.
