Some say that Paul being shoeless on the cover of Abbey Road represents him being dead. Certain roses on Sgt. Pepper\u2019s Lonely Hearts Club are arranged in a funerary fashion, with certain songs played backward to reveal the secret confessions. The list goes on\u2026 John even sang the line, \u201cHere\u2019s another clue for you all, the Walrus is Paul,\u201d the Walrus being the Scandinavian avatar of death. The question isn\u2019t \u201cWho is Paul?\u201d we know that. It\u2019s been decades, and Faul has been Paul longer than Paul was Paul, and certainly, Faul has been Paul longer than Billy was Billy. The question is, WHAT is Paul? A man from Liverpool or an idea?
