Register to join the competition by emailing [email protected] or calling (205)326-7151. **You must include Guinness in your recipe and be cooked on site**\r\n\r\nWE WILL PROVIDE:\r\n- One 6ft table\r\n- Canopy tent\r\n- Trash cans\r\n- Bowls and spoons for sampling\r\n- Guinness beer for recipe\r\n\r\nYOU BRING:\r\n- All ingredients for chili (beans, spices, meats, sauces, etc.)\r\n- Any condiments (chives, cheese, sour cream, crackers, cornbread, etc.)\r\n- Cookware and utensils\r\n- Burners, propane, warmers, etc.\r\n- Water for cooking, rinsing, etc.\r\n\r\nCOOKING:\r\n- All teams must prepare a minimum of 3 gallons of fully cooked chili.\r\n- Prep-work can be off site **(pre-cooked, marinated, or smoked meats, washing\/cutting veggies, and soaking beans)** NO COOKING except for meats, please.\r\n- Recipe must include a minimum of 32oz. of Guinness Draught Stout or Guinness Blonde Lager for every 3 gallons of chili cooked. (We provide Guinness beer)\r\n- Teams are able to start cooking at 12:00PM.\r\n- The Beer Hog will allow setup at 11:00AM.\r\n\r\nJUDGING:\r\n-Each team must present chili sample to judges between 5:00PM-6:00PM.\r\n- Chili will be judged on a 1-5 scale (1=poor, 5=excellent) in 4 categories:\r\n - Overall Taste\r\n - Creative use of Guinness\r\n - Texture\r\n - Aroma\r\n- A Guinness creativity profile card will be provided to you upon your arrival. The purpose of this is to write a description of how you utilize Guinness in your recipe.
