Thanks Lorcan B. (& by extension Julia P.!) This has undergone a heck of a transformation. An intensified Sauternes tartness has smashed the raisiny sweetness into submission. Still delicious, but a very very different beer.

A real treat. Pours with a lively head giving off aromas of barley wine and quad, but underneath a mild with chocolate notes. As the head fades, figs return to the glass and those aged madeirised oxidative notes.
