Arcade City by OverWorks

Gary S is drinking an Arcade City by OverWorks at The Bedlington Terrier

Deep, rich flavours. Cranberry and cherry. More like a sour than a stout. Hides the 10% abv really well, it’s very smooth and easy to drink. Excellent.

Sweet, quite herbal flavours. The whisky taste from the barrel aging process comes through towards the end. A decent sour.

Fruity upfront then hazelnut and chocolate comes through. Very smooth, not overly sour. Really nice.

Pie in the Sky by OverWorks

I’m not sure I’ve tried a sour imperial stout before. This is lovely. Lots of cherry and dark chocolate before a dry, sour finish.

A very drinkable wheat beer. Coriander and orange are the most prominent flavours. Hopefully York will get the win they need to stay up this afternoon.

Cosmic Pomegranate & Hibiscus by OverWorks

Gary S is drinking a Cosmic Pomegranate & Hibiscus by OverWorks at The Bedlington Terrier

I’ve never tried pomegranate, and I’ve no idea what hibiscus actually is. Therefore, I’ve no idea what this is meant to taste like. It’s got a nice flavour, fairly sharp initially. Quite tart in the finish. I like it.

A decent sour. The strawberry comes through first then the vanilla. Not overly sour but there’s a tartness in the finish.

Candy Kittens: Eton Mess by BrewDog

Gary S is drinking a Candy Kittens: Eton Mess by BrewDog at The Bedlington Terrier

I was expecting this to be vile but it’s alright. It’s sweet and there is lots of raspberry flavour but it’s drinkable enough. I wouldn’t want more than one can though.

Really good. Loads of flavour comes through from all the NZ hops in this. The taste goes a bit floral towards the back end.

A drinkable enough IPA. The simcoe hops come through prominently. Lacks a bit of body.

Terror On the Seas by Consortium Brewing Co

Malty but really lacks any depth of flavour and it’s very thin considering the abv. Fairly bitter finish. Disappointed with this really.

Post Punk by BrewDog

Gary S is drinking a Post Punk by BrewDog at The Bedlington Terrier

Not great. It’s basically just Punk with a few artificial tropical flavourings added. Doesn’t add anything really, if anything it detracts as, whatever your opinion of Punk, it’s always been a drinkable beer. This isn’t good.

Clean and light. Lots of pine. Fairly bitter finish. Decent, BrewDog need to make more stuff like this rather than the supermarket stuff they churn out these days.

Bud Lime by Budějovický Budvar

Gary S is drinking a Bud Lime by Budějovický Budvar at The Bedlington Terrier

This has been in my beer fridge for ages. I can’t remember where I bought it. There is loads of lime flavour but it’s really artificial. I suppose, if you were driving, it’s a decent nonalcoholic alternative but it’s not something I’d rush to have again.
