A good pils that honestly doesn’t have much to do with Czech pils. It’s in a common style with the Suarez lagers which use bohemian malt and yeast, but with lower bitterness and clarity than what you get real Czech pils.

I’ll admit I bought this for the novelty, but holy shit did they make this work. It’s all the earthiness of beetroot, all the funk from the lambic, and such a light and mild acidity. I bought it as a novelty, but I legitimately want more of these. So good

So, my first Freak Folk stout. And really exciting stuff! Flat, oily and viscous, like it should be. I just wish I had one without chocolate, vanilla or adjuncts to give the barrel more room to shine.
