Wow. Coffee, cacao nibs, and vanilla. All right up front and pungent. Very well balanced. A bit of a boozy finish, and there is a high viscosity. Still, a fine dessert beer.

Belgian Tripels are not for everyone, but this hits the nail on the head. A licorice, caramel sweetness, boozy, a slight bite, a medium viscosity, and thin. All with a fruity, almost figgy finish. Well done for the style.

Ian is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Stout (2021) 14.0% by Goose Island Beer Co. at Somewhere in tennessee

These guys do this very well. Dark and rich, boozy, definitely get the bourbon, but tempered with chocolate and vanilla. The viscosity on this seems a bit thicker this year. As always, quite impressive.

Nice little pool beer. Easy sipping, rather thin, not getting big bursts of the fruit adjuncts. Kind of mellow for my taste. Wish there was a bigger fruit bomb. Not too sour either, but quite smooth. Light for a sour and not too acidic. Ok.

Excellent sour. All the adjuncts are there and balance so evenly and smoothly. Lactose, mango, the vanilla is prominent, and the raspberries are throughout. A little acidic on the finish, but not too tart. Here’s to wishing SG has many more anniversaries.

These macro-micro breweries just cannot get the subtleties of the NEIPA down. This is funky and artificial. It lacks a delicate touch. Certainly hoppy, a malty melange, and sweet. But not much else. Drinkable and average, but ok.
