Apricot is dominant but there’s other fruity esters, tart notes, & while I wouldn’t have been able to tell it was chardonnay barrels, you can pick up their contribution to the flavor profile. Good amount of funk. A lovely fruited Belgian saison
Soft, airy mouthfeel. Mango, orange rind, and floral hops initially with pine resin and mild sweetness interplaying in the close.Earned the Cheers to Independent U.S. Craft Breweries (Level 48) badge! How on earth did this small-town beer fest have 2012 bottles to offer up? Aroma of caramel cooking on the stove that translated into notes of toffee w/dark rum, some wood, & sherry. Balanced & sweet, but so strong that a small pour is adequate.
Earthy coffee, black beans pooling in their own juices, dark chocolate, sticky molasses, cinnamon, and roasted malts. Really liked this one, just a little too much heat from a strong alcohol presence.Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 30) badge!
Crackers, some lemongrass, champagne, and the promised honey playing the starring role. A touch sweet, but…I mean… if you ask me cream ales should be.Earned the Brewery Pioneer (Level 27) badge!
