Less than a week left in Belgium for me. I can't get over the fact that they sell these kind of great beers in a grocery store. One of my favorite Trappist beers.

Side by side with 2018. This 2019 opens with satisfying loud pop and the carbonation makes it a bit lively. Less dark in color. Cherry is there but it's not dominating and fades quickly away to an aftertaste of oak.

Side by side with 2019. This 2018 bottle was not as carbonated and had a darker red color. Pleasant strong cherry taste. In comparison a more "together" palate without anything spiking out.

Tasting this side by side with Oud Beersel Framboise. This has a better lambic taste but both color and taste of raspberries is not as apparent.
