Ah, brings me back 15-20 years drinking west coast ipa in soCal before the hype started. Such a great, clean, and smooth pool/beach brew.

An awesome showing of what citra can do. Amazingly thick, rich, yet little mention of sweetness. Yummy bitterness melds seamlessly w/ malt.

Last bottle of the six-pack, since none of my friends wanted one! Here's to you, A-B!

Almost through the six-pack dedicated to German immigrants. It's not so bad.

The hops, the hops, if they could just get the hops right, the rest wouldn't be so bad.

It really is better the fresher it is. It also doesn't help to go to a craft brewery beforehand.

Yep -- same as last time. The rice isn't at issue -- Tsingtao has that. It's the hop bite that makes it American, not Busch's native German.

So this is a lager, and better than I remember, and my father was a German immigrant too, so I'm happy to drink it.

This batch is a little watery, but otherwise the Guinness flavor is oh so good!

Guinness does their porters and stouts right -- roasted, but not burnt; hoppy, but not bitter. This is a great take on porter.

Lighter than I expected, with a flavor and feel reminiscent of a bock. So instead of being a flat, smooth and silky beer, it's quite lively!

This is good, with a sweeter, maltier flavor than the standard, but extra hop-bite and booze to balance it out.
