Keep Calm And Saison by Block Three Brewing Co.

Red Hunt is drinking a Keep Calm And Saison by Block Three Brewing Co. at Queen Street West & Dufferin Street

Smells very citrusy … grapefruit? At first, but can tell there is some funk in it too, makes you think it might drink more like a Belgian IPA. Taste is super dry, a bit funky and pretty on par for a saison though, not much coming from the hops on taste.

CAAAT NAAAP by Barncat Artisan Ales

Red Hunt is drinking a CAAAT NAAAP by Barncat Artisan Ales at Queen Street West & Dufferin Street

Do you like cats? This is cat-tastic! Very dank and delicious. Tropical and melony. Super smooth...not furry at all! May cause hop burps instead of hair balls. 😸

Thoroughly enjoyable, but nothing particular that stands out to need to try it again.

Barry And Mary by Badlands Brewing Company

A lovely beer, good piney, hoppy, bold flavours. Not bitter, yet not a scared, fluffy pillow ipa either.

Got my Zwift bike ride done...so I’ve earned my beers for the night! This sweet lactose aroma and tropical fruit beer hits the spot. Vanilla...maybe mango too? Maybe a tad of melon too...happy Friday!!

Good coffee levels upfront on taste and aroma...sweetness does kick in later on...but not overly sweet. Very good.

Sometimes you need a little bourbon, sometimes you need a lot. This has a lot...a headless, flat pour. But delivers on flavour. Mellow, sweet booziness. Dense but not sticky.

Pas terrible! Excellent flavours, big and bold, slightly sweet. have a couple of older bottles of this still kicking around, happy to have it fresh again though. Still wish we had more access to Unibroue in Ontario.

Tiny Little Blizzards by Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery

Lactose-sweet aroma, drinks fairly smooth with a bit of a hip finish. Aroma is just overpowered by lactose sugar though...so kinda bland there.

Nice, easy Belgian brew. Full of aroma...floral, banana, spices. Full of flavour too, yet light...cloves, coriander.

A bit lively, had to quickly pour right away, smooth, buttery, toffee flavours. Beautiful deep red colour. Always good, and this one is tasting better fresh than some previous years.

Tart, mildly funky and slightly acidic. Pleasing berry aroma, good blueberry tangy taste.

Mint Chocolate Nanaimo by Bellwoods Brewery

Very nice! Mint is subtle on the flavour...plenty of chocolate, a hint of coconut too? Not crazy sweet. It really tastes like it should. Yum! 😋 Have one more bottle...will trade for the ‘normal’ Nanaimo version that I missed, if anyone is interested.

2020 Anubis Baltic Porter (Barrel Aged) by Black Lab Brewing

Red Hunt is drinking a 2020 Anubis Baltic Porter (Barrel Aged) by Black Lab Brewing at Queen Street West & Dufferin Street

Not as advertised. None of the flavours they describe. Opens with a winey aroma. Drinks soured, with big wine barrel influence, no oak. Some dried fruit flavours near the end...dry finish. Likely an ‘off’ bottle. Would compare to a Bellwoods Donkey Venom.

British Dark Mild Ale by Amsterdam Brewing Company

Red Hunt is drinking a British Dark Mild Ale by Amsterdam Brewing Company at Queen Street West & Dufferin Street

Surprisingly satisfying. Mildly toasty, slightly chocolately, quite light in body, so easy to drink. Malty more than anything but not in a bad way. A solid brew from Amsterdam.
