Monsieur P.: Whups, I didn't actually overrate this last time
Monsieur P. is drinking a Sianpupila by Grandma's Front Kitchen at Puolivälinkangas
Mugwort all the way, herbal concentrate, body doesn't feel thin anymore, lively carbonation. Is a bit too lively. (And body starts to feel thin once again. Herbal burbs follow.) Final bottle, I think. 3.4

Cherries were always lost, but rhubarb stays strong. Insipid base beer makes an appearancre. Final bottle. 3.5

Lovely aroma of citrus fruit, goose berries and grass, something oaty and dank, perhaps; taste is full of pleasantly tingling oaty hop sugar - smooth and absolutely tasty for the weight class (if I rated by style this would get 5/5). 4.1

Monsieur P. is drinking a Kronos Rum Barrel Aged Barley Wine by Mallaskoski Brewery at Puolivälinkangas
Brown sugar and dark fruit, bitter malty pine. Brown sugar heat from the barrel. Beautiful amber and clear appearance, head lingers. I might have overrated this last time, but not by much. 4.0

Tom Z.: Monsieur P. Ratings can be situational for me. Sometimes even the worst beer in the best situations is a 5* experience! 🍻
Monsieur P.: Tom Z. I agree, somewhat, I try to be consistent, but the more you drink the better everything tastes...
Monsieur P. is drinking a Tripel by Maistila at Puolivälinkangas
Absolutely smooth for a fairly fresh tripel, lovely play between yeast and subtle spice (pepper and ginger, I was told, but they are not identifiable). Fairly dry, but with saisonesque roundness. 3.9

Monsieur P. is drinking a Moose Islay by Nómada Brewing Co. at Puolivälinkangas
The smoke and the sea, sweet licorice and salmiac, tar and burning ships by the shore. Earthy and savoury. Somewhat thin for the weight class, but lovely for the intensity. 4.0

Malty with a nice hit of smoke, lots of nuance for the low abv, buttery finish. Quite enjoyable. I hope Amir Shervan's Hollywood debut Hollywood Cop (1987) is half as enjoyable. 3.8

Monsieur P. is drinking a Mother's Ruin by Thornbridge Brewery at Puolivälinkangas
Very saisonesque, dry and lemony (no hay), lightly tart. Gin barrel is on top with a bit muddled herbal and lemony stuff, but overall very quaffable and enjoyable, even if lacking the really deep sour stuff. Parents (1989) is the new try at a movie. 3.8

Monsieur P. is drinking an Old Stock Ale (2015) by North Coast Brewing Company at Puolivälinkangas
Dark fruit and brown sugar, some minty caramel. Very enjoyable and massively drinkable. Hope this helps to make Murderlust (1985) an enjoyable experience. 4.0
Monsieur P.: Beer was nice, but Murderlust was unwatchable. Had nice, weird music, but no...

Monsieur P. is drinking a Thurbo Stout by Oppigårds Bryggeri at Puolivälinkangas
Raining lobsters, teatro satanico, pontebana, mario landi, lucio fulci.
I think this is starting to turn, chokeberries take over. Everything tastes bleak, wooden. The centre cannot hold. 3.3
