Although de Ranke doesn't claim this to be a stout, it was sold in the stout section of the local Prik en Tik. This is closer to a BE Dubbel (caramel and sweet) than a stout (coffee and dry).

Pretty nice, maybe a little off, as the bottle foamed over as soon as I opened it. They don't keep beer refrigerated in Belgium, and not many people buy stouts. I'm taking a quarter off for hints of licorice which I don't care for in beer, otherwise good.
