J. Riley’s Irish Red Ale
J. Riley’s Irish Red Ale is deep reddish in color. Very slight low fruity-ester aroma is present and ending aroma is taken from the use of Liberty hops. The body is medium, with a candy-like caramel malt sweetness, ending with subtle degree of roast barley. Hop flavor is medium. Hop bitterness is low to medium standing at 24 IBU. Original Gravity is higher than usual for this style beer, starting at 14P, instead of 12P or less. The Firkin is then dry hopped with a generous amount of US Willamette hops for extra hop flavor and aroma.
