Roll With It by Vocation Brewery

Dan M. is drinking a Roll With It by Vocation Brewery at Nunhead

Soft and juicy and lovely drinking. Tasty citrus hoppiness. Over 5% so I’m not calling it a session beer but I could happily have a few of these.

Konrad’s Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged by LERVIG

Dan M. is drinking a Konrad’s Stout - Bourbon Barrel Aged by LERVIG at Nunhead

Essentially it’s really drinkable Bourbon. But it’s so smooth that it absolutely works. Superb late night stout for whiskey fans.

Salted Caramel Tonkoko by Brew York

Dan M. is drinking a Salted Caramel Tonkoko by Brew York at Nunhead

Not a patch on the stronger Tonkokos. But as a boozy sweet version, pretty beautiful. Salted Caramel is sweet but light. Touch of salinity but can still taste the tonka base. Would absolutely have this again for a late night sweet stout hit.

Nicely balanced and lightly tasty. Enjoyed it. But for 11.1% I’d expected a bit more. Great mix of bitterness and malty hoppiness.

Cracking Kiwi DIPA. Don’t know that I’ve had one from Deya before. Their standards remain high. Tasty drop.

Caramel Crunch by Dugges Bryggeri

Dan M. is drinking a Caramel Crunch by Dugges Bryggeri at Nunhead

Needed something sweet after the last one. I guess this delivered on smell alone. But not a lot else. Sort of caramelly sugar. Dugges do many better stouts.

Disco Demolition Derby by Low Key Barrel Project

Dan M. is drinking a Disco Demolition Derby by Low Key Barrel Project at Nunhead

Pours lovely and thick. Texture a bit more thick-oily. Tasty number. Just not sure that the tonka & cherry combo works for me. Seems to detract from both. Cherry a bit tart for my sweet tastebuds too. Have more Low Key in the cupboard that should work.

Weekend by Prairie Artisan Ales

Dan M. is drinking a Weekend by Prairie Artisan Ales at Nunhead

Bought on the back of london s.‘s Insta review. Great shout. Heavy marshmallow but doesn’t make it synthetic, just pillowy soft and creamy. Good chocolate hit & sweetness. No idea where the 13.3% is. Dangerous but delicious.

Best DIAC in a while. And only partly because it plays right to my preferences. Barrel Aged chocolate DIAC stout. Liked it all.

Rich and dark. I like it. Though the ingredients listing strawberries and not cherries is a bit of a head fuck. Very cherry bakewell flavour to me. Jon would have to drink more of this than most…

Hybrid Treats Vol.8: Chocolate Strawberries & Whipped Cream by Sori Brewing

Dan M. is drinking a Hybrid Treats Vol.8: Chocolate Strawberries & Whipped Cream by Sori Brewing at Nunhead

Doesn’t hit as thick as some of the others from this range but the flavour really works (in a heavily Ronseal way). Manages not to be too synthetic and the chocolate maltiness balances the sweetness nicely. Cracking alternative to the sticky pastry afiuts

Suitable Fruit Mirage by DEYA Brewing Company

Dan M. is drinking a Suitable Fruit Mirage by DEYA Brewing Company at Nunhead

Badly named. No mirage about the fruit in this. Some juicy stuff but with enough musty hoppiness to keep it interesting. Some danger with these fruity ones that they’re too easy drinking. I’d still have another.

Very easy drinking Kveik IPA. Bright and hoppy. And for a £3 supermarket beer added value points. Won’t get many better beers for that.

A little lagery but a pretty solid “Ronseal” saison. Quite enjoyed drinking this. Also enjoyed the “Do not drink and DIY” warning that I hadn’t spotted on the last one.

Stay Out by Tiny Rebel Brewing Co

Dan M. is drinking a Stay Out by Tiny Rebel Brewing Co at Nunhead

Grew on me though could was just be the effect of the easy drinking 18%. Very much souped up Stay Puft, which is a good thing taste wise. Not sure it gets full whack for its 18%. Also, odd calling it Stay Out when it increases the chances of going home.

Certainly hazy. And pretty fruity. But quite thin too somehow. Found the finish a bit sharp-grassy fruity and was a bit odd. Maybe the FruitBowl yeast.

Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride by DEYA Brewing Company

Dan M. is drinking a Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride by DEYA Brewing Company at Nunhead

Not really a surprise win with a Deya/Verdant collab but this is beautifully balanced. Fruity jam and hoppy bitterness. Strong. You’d think a 10% would be the time Deya don’t use their usual 500ml cans. Silly. Extra points for the label looking like “Bux”
