6% so I didn't expect a lot, but although light on body it had a lingering flavour that did put me to mind of a semi-sweet custard tart. Probably the imagination coming into play but a reasonable stout nontheless.

Following on from the Northern Powerhouse Brew Series 004 Tropical Sour IPA, I found this heavier in flavour and not ‘bright’ as I expected. It’s maltier with some bitterness and a fruity/mango aftertaste.

Not what I was expecting at all. Definitely a lager, as stated, but lacking the sweetness and acidity of pear I was expecting. Perhaps if I’d actually gone in with the mindset of drinking a ‘lager’ I may have enjoyed it more. My bad.
