Matt Hersh is drinking a No Additional Text by Tired Hands Brewing Company at Leach's House

Bottle Bottle

Nose is beautiful blend of apricot, geuzey funk/wood, wet wool, red wine(?) grape, feet/stink. Man, TH house character is so reminiscent of proper lambic. Palate leads with the fruit, gets a touch sweet, transitions to wood and a slight hop greenness.

Deathstalker by Burial Beer Co.

Matt Hersh is drinking a Deathstalker by Burial Beer Co. at Leach's House

Can Can

Passionfruit, mango, bitter lime zest, some coconut and stinky onion on the nose. Palate is not as simple juice as the nose would imply. Dry and bitter pineapple, some resin.

Purchased at Burial Beer Co.

Whale Pond by Kane Brewing Company

Last night. Vegetal Southern Hemisphere hops throwing green pepper and light scallion/weed on top of a crackery malt base. Dry finish with mild bitterness. Just what a hoppy session should be.

Floral accented nose with a good amount of biscuit and caramel malt behind it. A little sulfur/lager yeast. Also a touch prickly as it goes down. Flavors are solid and it’s not too sweet.

Block Print: Blueberry + Coconut + Lemon by Foam Brewers

Matt Hersh is drinking a Block Print: Blueberry + Coconut + Lemon by Foam Brewers at Leach's House

Can Can

Heavy on the blueberry and lemon initially along with a wheaty/grainy and moderately tangy base. Kind of like a blueberry/lemon tangy dessert. Coconut is lost on the palate.

Summer by Tree House Brewing Company

Can Can

Cotton candy and melon juice. This is honestly more enjoyable than this recent batch of Juice Machine. Super tropical and not too sweet either though you get a light caramel touch. Satisfying bitterness.

Phenomenal beer. Higher on the acid for a SFB but never crosses the line of too much. Cedar/tobacco wood, lemon balm, subtle vanilla. One of the best bottles I’ve had in recent memory.

Lovely dry oak, herbaceous notes, lemon balm. Distinct Brett undercurrent that pokes out but never overwhelms the other flavors. Bomb.
