It’s Voignier grape, first and foremost, and not luxurious enough. I was hoping for creamy honey and tropical notes with a pep up of coconut. Still, won’t deter me on trying to make the journey to Lewes this summer. 🔴🟡🔵

Picked this up when visiting the taproom on holiday in Hay-on-Wye over Easter. Light citrus notes, herbal tones. Nothing complex, just easy to sip with its refreshing crispness.

Lemon cream + herbaceous characteristics of the first order including pine, basil leaf and rosemary. Sweets notes of blueberry and a slightly tarter blackcurrant. All wrapped up in a pastry casing. A culinary and slightly left field experience for an IPA.

The oaty grain base gives it a luxury mouthfeel. Gooseberry and petrol, 🍋 +🍋‍🟩Reckon this is more powerful than the draft version yesterday, marginally. Ironic that we got talking to the mother of the artist and the father of the owner y’day! :0)

This is the topping of a lemon meringue pie. It encapsulates the three hops well: a good combo it turns out. Some drier apricot notes and juicy tropical passionfruit. Fluffy and light. Really very good.

Nailed the flavours I was expecting, bubblegum, banana and sweet brioche. A shake of pepper helps the flavours really come to fruition. Similar to the Cloudwater’s take on a Hefeweizen.

Not your obvious NZ darlings of the hop world. Results in a rather sharp white grapefruit hit which is quite bitter. I do quite like grapefruit segments without sugar to sweeten them. White grape pushes through more on warming with a v subtle milkiness.

Good news story: not tried this one since ‘19 and I used to taste banana, paint and veggies. Not an appealing mix when you are about to tip it on back. Today, however, there is none of that malarkey. Clean, zingy and creamy pineapple with subtle dank.

Bubblegum with a shake of pepper and sweet tropical juice with a squeeze of lime. Soft mouthfeel. It’s solid, just doesn’t excite me. New vinyl, Lifeblood 20th anniversary edition ♥️

A bruiser! Not shy and retiring but bold and out there. The Track twang I often pick up is out to play which leaves an alcohol hit at the back of the throat. Mango, passion fruit, red apple and lime. Oaty depth. Intensity high.

Milky hop sauce. Passion fruit. Always look forward to the next from the V series and this is a notch up from 16. ♥️ a festival where founders from the breweries attend and pour, especially from 🇺🇸. This pic was from a fun little festival in London.

An unexpected gift. It’s not bad at all, just not a wow. Really like the can design concept, after researching a bit… always have a different graphic to the right of the 🌳. Have a soft spot for willow trees. Peach, citrus ‘n’mango with a malty backbone.

A triangulation I will always be on board with. Up there with some really good 🇺🇸 hazies. The thickness drinks to DIPA strength but the booziness is refined and everything is dialled in nicely. Peaches, mango, orange, lime. Fruity hop juice.

So in love with Monkish milk when it is on point like this. Syrupy pineapple: pure unadulterated pleasure. Nothing cloying or dank or challenging.

My initial reaction was a caramel / buttery underbelly. Pine and herbaceous qualities push through with a zesty marmalade high note. A bit cloying by the end. This would be a good switch up at a beer festival and with a small pour size.
