Shangri-Lager by Stigbergets Bryggeri

A lightly hopped up lager, i.e. a lager with a light fruity touch, but not as fruity as an IPL.

Citric forward elegantly tuned flavors with less banana & coriander than Hoegaarden.

Finally a tasty beer this Midsummer Eve! Soft dark fruits, rasins & dry bitter spicy finish. Elegant & easy sipper.

Very dry, rose vinous, very very young tart apples, and a vinegar touch. Likely a delight for most wild ale lovers, but the acidic balsamic vinegar back end never worked for me.

Black DIPA by Spike Brewery

Stefan is drinking a Black DIPA by Spike Brewery at Karby

Mild BIPA, 80% dry roasty porter, 20% IPA, with limited fruity impact. But that’s (low on the fruits) sadly normal. Nevertheless, easy drinking and pretty enjoyable.

Hybrid 02 by Dugges Bryggeri

Stefan is drinking a Hybrid 02 by Dugges Bryggeri at Karby

An odd hybrid this, clocking 11,5% The idea with a very berry Graoe Ale is interesting, but it’s too strong for my pref, getting very intensely boozy instead of crisp & refreshing. A unique beer, hard to like, or dislike. Esp at 30’ish degrees C. 🥵

Fresh crisp with mild citric floral/grassy flavors. Perfect refresher after silly Midsummer games in scorching hot weather waiting for sill & nubbe.

There are loads of new flavor rich ultra Sessions (Folköl) available lately. To be brutally honest, this isn’t one of them. More like Lättöl.

Thurbo Triple IPA by Oppigårds Bryggeri

Stefan is drinking a Thurbo Triple IPA by Oppigårds Bryggeri at Karby

According to rumor, better bitterness in this edition. Could be, still I feel that this heavily malty fruity decently bitter monster IPA is easier on the palate and more balanced than previously. So it’s jacked up in score.

Cyrano - Vild by Brekeriet

Touch of tart apples with white wine influence, but a bit too much yeasty flavor to be excellent for my pref. Still enjoyable. Midsummer celebration init.

Top shelf! Besides having this lovely thick juicy chewy body, just the right balance of dank semisweet tropicals, mild grapefruit & dry grassy finish.

Despite the buckwheat, kasha, and chia seeds with salt, it’s a pretty generic tasting hazy IPA, albeit with a bit of a flavor twist. Easy drinker.
