Nice recovery from the dunkel, this brown ale from lookout is dark and rich with a smooth malt and coffee flavor. Easy drinking with the right level of roasting and malt flavor. Has a touch of coffee to it which adds to the smoothness and the flavor.

A bit disappointed in this dunkel from the fun guys as it has an over roasted, nope burnt flavor which brings in a bitter finish. Was hoping for a smooth malty dark beer with a bit of caramel sweetness. Got instead a dark burnt mess.

The description says tootsie roll and vanilla fudge. I get more of a chocolate and vanilla twist cone without the creaminess. Nice balanced flavors of sweetness and roasted notes, I’m glad I ended the flight with this solid oatmeal porter.
