Soft, balanced and in all ways a classic dark english barley wine. A bit sweet but definitely not too much. Not very barrel forward either. There’s actually nothing to complain here.

Miitre is drinking a Hop Duos! Citra + Nectaron by Other Half Brewing Co. at Jokki Pub

A pretty solid brew for a regular IPA and with this ABV. Clean flavors, and both Citra and Nectaron are clearly recognizable. All in all, a well-balanced beer that I’d be happy to drink again.

A thick beer, just as one might have expected. When a beer has a fair amount of coffee, it should have a full body for it to work for me. A thin coffee stout is just blah. Vanilla and coconut are nicely balanced and pleasantly restrained.

Generally, don’t put berries in stouts. It rarely works. Luckily, this one isn’t too sweet or overly chaotic. Quite pleasant to drink, though it lacks depth. Balanced for a berry stout. But still, don’t put berries in a stout.
