James D. is drinking an Artesian Dark Ale by Shepherd Neame at Home (Bristol)
Dark amber in colour with fruit cakey flavours. Slightly spicy, notes of biscuity malt with an aroma of raisin.
James D. is drinking an Artesian Light Ale by Shepherd Neame at Home (Bristol)
Too lagery and watery for my liking. Very feint biscuit toffee aroma but not a lot else. Plenty of better Sheperd Neame beers available.
James D. is drinking a Pedigree New World Pale Ale by Marston's Brewery at Home (Bristol)
Pleasantly quite tasty. Nice and fresh, bitter at first but mellows to a dry dark fruity aftertaste. Notes of bitter orange perhaps?
James D. is drinking a River Cottage EPA by Skinners Brewing Co at Home (Bristol)
Pleasantly surprised to discover that the hops are Hereford-grown, as am I. Not much aroma but a smooth, almost flat, thirst-quenching beer.
James D. is drinking a Golden-Age by Celt Brewing at Home (Bristol)
Very nice floral aroma, with a zesty, fruity (thanks to the NZ hops) citrus bitterness. Smooth and unfiltered. Beautiful!
