An ok pale ale. It’s def Belgian styled. Not very good aroma, asparges? Very good color though. Yeasty and hoppy flavour, with some bitterness. But again mellow ending, don’t sit long in palate. Good carbonation.
Tommy J. is drinking a CHRISTMAS RED by Oslo Brewing Company at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A delightful red for christmas. Malt on the nose, a good wide malty & caramel’ish flavour. Good carbonation & nice crisp ending. No bitterness and quite easy drinken’. It was very tasty, but I feel I’ve had it many times before. Good, but nothing special.
Tommy J. is drinking a Limited Edition #2 by Nøisom Craft Beer at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Citrusy on the nose. A sour, with almost to non sourness. A little acid is present, but very mellow. It’s very thin, a lemon flavour combined with light spices and with a touch of salt at ending, nice. Decent carbonation. It’s ok, but again quite boring.
Tommy J. is drinking a Vinter Hvete by Lindesnes Brygghus at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A light caramel aroma, with a mellow malty flavour and lightly smoked ending. Less carbonation, almost flat. Very thin body, almost watery. No flavourful explosion, very ordinary and ending fades out quite fast. Ok, but not a favourite.
Tommy J. is drinking a Havrestout by Jikiun Norge Σόλο (Solo) at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
This is a thin bodied stout, & I’d rather have it thicker for fuller experience. Anynomous aroma, but quite ok flavour of malt & coffee ending. It also seems a bit fruitier than other wheat stouts. Good carbonation with wide aftertaste. Not on top, but ok
Tommy J. is drinking a Kittelsbukt by De Tvende at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A dark tasteful larger from one of my favourite brands. Good carbonation, malt & light coffee on the nose and a good malt flavour with a light caramel touch. Nice aftertaste in palate, but fades out a little fast. Tasty, but could’ve been a wider flavor.
Tommy J. is drinking a Catharsis Confirmation by Cervisiam at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Just wonderful! Lovely aroma of vanilla and malt. And flavour…what to say? Just splended!! The vanilla is dominant and sweet’ish, with authentic flavour. A little malt, a little caramel, simply a little christmas! Could’ve been fuller body, to thin.
Tommy J. is drinking a Mulled Cider by Lilley's Cider at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Cinnamon and a floral touch on the nose. Tried this cold right from the bottle, just terrible. Very floral, weak apple and citrusy touch & unpleasant cinnamon flavour. Slightly better warm but not much. Like a warm cup of sweet floral tea. Nope!
Tommy J. is drinking an ESB Ekte Ski Bygd by Trysil Bryggeri at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A browner and maltier bitter. Malt on the nose. Not very impressed by flavour, malt and light coffee, and with a mid-bitterness at ending. Not a very Pleasant aftertaste. Nja, not a favourite.
Tommy J. is drinking a Myrkr by Dragur at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A caramel’ish aroma on the nose. A rather thin bodied brown ale, with malt flavour and caramel undertone. It taste good, but quite ordinary. Good carbonation. Aftertaste fades out quick. Ok, but a little to mainstream.
Tommy J. is drinking a Steingrunnen Bitter by Homborsund Bryggeri at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A bitter with less bitterness. Hoppy on the nose. A mellow combination of hops and malt. A touch of bitterness at ending, yet very mellow. Good carbonation. Not bad, but nothing special either. I’d rather go for something else.
Tommy J. is drinking a Slogen Julebrygg by Trollbryggeriet at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
A dark larger with a very anonymous aroma. Also a very anonymous flavour aswell. Not bad, just a little bit boring. You feel some maltiness, and a little coffee touch at end, but no explosion exactly A little bitterness at end, nice. Malt holds in palate.
Tommy J. is drinking a CHRISTMAS COOKIE BOCK by Oslo Brewing Company at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Caramel and light fruit on the nose. A mid body Bock, with lovely color and good carbonation. Biscuts, malt and dried fruits in flavour. Malt and bready undertones at start, fruits lies in palate at ending. A tasty Bock, that doesn’t go all the way.
Tommy J. is drinking a Juleøl (2020) by St. Hallvards Bryggeri AS at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Lovely brown ale. Malty, caramel’ish touch and a undertone of orange way, way back at ending. Good carbonation and aroma! There is also a nice roasted undertone that lies in palate a good while after ending. Very nice. But, I feel I’ve tasted it before.
Tommy J. is drinking a Bodeux by Bådin at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Wheat and orange on the nose. A mellow wheat and citrus flavoured Wit, with a weak touch of orange at end. Good carbonation, and very fresh without being to fruity. Very easy drinkin’. It’s good, but not a very explosive treat, flavoured-wise. Still OK.
Tommy J. is drinking a Tropical by Lilley's Cider at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Woooow! This was awesome, and I put that right among the stars! Tropical on the nose, and a wonderful non-syntetic fruit flavour. It feels like a tropical juice with a touch of sparkels. Just delightful, fresh and gooood! My next Summer favourite #1.
Tommy J. is drinking a Sur Kölsch by Jikiun Norge Σόλο (Solo) at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
Lightly citrus on the nose. A mid-tree sour with light flavour of grapefruit and citrus. Ok acid and sourness, and also right carbonation. But it just don’t feel right, it’s just do dull on both flavour and acid. It’s simply ok, but still boring.
Tommy J. is drinking a Ljos by Dragur at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
This was a very thin and rather tasteless pilsner. Good carbonation, easy drinkin’ and a little malty touch, but just to boring. There were just nothing special there.
Tommy J. is drinking a Jul i Bjørgvin by 7 Fjell Bryggeri at Gulating Ølutsalg Brennåsen
It’s dark, it’s malty, it’s hoppy and it’s good! Good aroma and good carbonation. A weak coffee sence at end, lightly blended in with malt and hops. A weak bitterness, but it suits it well. Could work well with heavy food, but definitely lighter courses.
Light chocolate on the nose. Way to thin for a stout, this is pilsner body, Disappointing. Very little flavour, almost watery, just a weak touch of both malt and mocca. It should have spread a wider flavour. Carbonation is good though. OK minus.
