Took a chance on this and (not surprisingly, given OH's track record) was rewarded. The aromatics are fantastic, the flavor (previously unknown to this lilac noob) is engagingly delicious and the tartness keeps me reaching for another sip.

Well, hell... the mystery of how a 6.3% stout could have such a high rating is solved. Chocolate-forward with a good helping of coffee flavor and the body is nice and viscous. Not too sweet and relatively crushable for a stout.

Hmmm... not as good as I was expecting. A tad one-note, with cinnamon coming on strong. And, there's a bit of heat to this, which doesn't exist in the upper echelon stouts. Mouthfeel isn't bad, but isn't super thick.

Smooth and silky af. The chocolate notes intrinsic to imperial stouts blends fantastically well with the port flavors from the barrel aging. Mouthfeel is great and there's zero heat.
