Surprised how subtle the chilli is was. Very smooth and tasty bitter choc stout.
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Neil Allison is drinking a Summer Citra by Stewart Brewing at Dunbar East Beach
Forgot I’d had this before. Impulse buy while at the brewery. Lower ABV than before (4%) and still thin. Same as last time. Average bit would love to see on cask at the local.
Purchased at Stewart Brewing Tap Room & Shop
Earned the Stewart's Tap Master (Level 3) badge!Neil Allison is drinking a Pale Ale - Citra, Cashmere, El Dorado by Newbarns Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Soft, subtle, watery. Underwhelming as most of their pales have been. No sense of the strength. Bet it’s great on cask on a summers day though.
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Earned the Pale as the Moon (Level 80) badge!Neil Allison is drinking a Primo IPA by Newbarns Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Light sparkling, lovely Citra flavour. Thin for the strength but just makes it super drinkable.
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Gavin Anderson: At the taproom now. Well worth a visit ☺️🍻
Neil Allison: Cheers! Need to make a pilgrimage Ian S. Gordon
Ian Scrimgeour: There's a few taprooms down in Leith now, could put together a decent brewery crawl. 😀
Neil Allison: Let’s do it.
Gordon: I'm in if we can go to the Malt & Hops too so I can relive my 90's youth
Neil Allison is drinking a Burnthouse (Coffee Edition) by Verdant Brewing Co at Dunbar East Beach
Lovely taste and aroma, good body, just maybe a bit fizzy.
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Neil Allison is drinking a Jai Alai® by Cigar City Brewing® at Dunbar East Beach
Very distinctive American IPA. Fruity, bitter, strong. Kind of puts me in mind of Goose Island 15 years ago when they were independent and good. Sad to be purchasing from our local craft beer shop who are closing down 😩
Purchased at Beer Zoo

Hopsleeve: What? BZ closing? — was in Porty on Tues and it was closed there too, but thought that was just their “weekend”…../
Neil Allison: Yeah both shops 😩
Neil Allison: Mind you after I drank this I realised they’d sold me beer that was 3 months out of date 🤨
Neil Allison is drinking a Silkie Stout by Loch Lomond Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Solid option, quality stout. A little sweeter than I’d like but eminently drinkable.
Neil Allison is drinking a Blonde by Isle of Arran Brewery Co. at Dunbar East Beach
A solid robust pale. Haven’t had in years. I approve.
Purchased at Asda
Neil Allison is drinking a Judicious by Kirkstall Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Amazingly still selling for just over a quid in Asda. Bonus marks for the price but it’s still a more than decent beer.
Gordon: Always checking for this, usually clear the shelf when they have it
Neil Allison is drinking a Lost In Mosaic by Loch Lomond Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Soft and fruity. Very easy, if maybe watery, drinking.
Purchased at Aldi
Neil Allison is drinking a Slake by Newbarns Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Confess I was taken in by the can design as much as anything. It has a very pleasing if unsophisticated bitterness, like a good Pilsner. The tang of Belgian yeast is in there but it’s subtle. If I was on holiday somewhere hot I’d be happy to find this
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Steven: The very bad can design? Looks like a clip art special.
Neil Allison: Nah it has the look of vintage French / Belgian beer designs.
Steven: Vintage MS Office 1998 clipart more like.
Neil Allison: 😂
Neil Allison is drinking an India Pale Ale Wai-iti by The Kernel Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Just lovely. So glad I bought two. A Kernel brewery order is long overdue.
Purchased at Beer Zoo
Ian Scrimgeour: That's a good idea..
Rob Thompson: Back on The Kernel's!
Neil Allison: Can’t keep away Rob T. !

Easing my way into the weekend. Just stunning at 3.2%.

Neil Allison is drinking a Just Two Bodies by Polly's Brew Co. at Dunbar East Beach
Lovely. I’ll be getting more of these.
Gordon: Where did you get this?
Neil Allison: Down in England unfortunately
Neil Allison is drinking a Leffe Blonde / Blond 0,0% by Abbaye de Leffe at Dunbar East Beach
Sweet, yeasty and herby with a subtle bitterness underneath.
Neil Allison is drinking a Budvar Nealko / Free by Budějovický Budvar at Dunbar East Beach
Was fine to wash down a curry.
Neil Allison is drinking a King Slayer by Buxton Brewery at Dunbar East Beach
Very tasty drop. One of the best things available in supermarkets.
Purchased at Tesco
John Naylor: Love the Buxton brewery
Neil Allison: 🍻
Neil Allison is drinking a 10|Mocha Porter by Brew By Numbers at Dunbar East Beach
Thin, fizzy. Head gone in a minute. Milky roast flavours but not the greatest. No sense of the strength.
Earned the Wake Up and Smell The Coffee! (Level 4) badge!Neil Allison is drinking a 05|India Pale Ale - Citra & Mosaic by Brew By Numbers at Dunbar East Beach
Unremarkable. Thin and light. Not a lot going on for the strength.
Neil Allison is drinking a Just Two Bodies by Polly's Brew Co. at Dunbar East Beach
Right tasty drop. Cloudy, juicy, decent bitterness.
Gordon: I didn't buy one because of the chilli! I noticed Asda had an imperial milk stout from Loch Lomond for £2.75 today
