Simon M. is drinking a Tmavy Pivo 13 by Slow Hand Beer Company at City of Vancouver, BC
Whaaat...Is it the few extra weeks to mellow and drop some bitterness and charcoal on the shelf? Or more likely the context of this as a perfect mix of refreshing and fireside cozy as an aprés. Either way this is a totally different pint than last time.

Exquisite. Dark blackness. Cinnamon bun nose, Bourbon & boozy, & a tingling toasted coconut nut nutmeg fudge aftertaste for forever. Rich but not chewy. I don't often reach for stouts but this cozy fireside sipper is wow. Star wars quote too? Nice

Another month and it's yet another beer altogether. Nose of recently activated bread yeast and tree fruit. Still dense and smooth, but the grain, bitterness and now resin have faded. There's not much to it, a boring but not unpleasant dense sipper.
Robert G. is drinking a Barren Wood - Vanilla Port Bourbon (2020) by Skookum Brewery at City of Vancouver, BC
Label indicates flavors of white supremacy, #thinblueline, fragility, and maybe Fox News/Breitbart. Beer inside is pretty solid, though. Liquid caramel, dried fruit and moderate vanilla to give a pastry finish. Barrel could be a little more prominent.

Head brown like chocolate. Aroma chocolate. Tastes like chocolate with notes of chocolate, and maybe a chocolate hint at the end, but those are dominated by chocolate throughout. Dense, sweet, not too sticky. I love it. Thanks sz. CHOCOLATE
Simon M. is drinking a Yuzu by Godspeed Brewery at City of Vancouver, BC
Lager nose. Large hubba bubba banana vanilla flavour with some hef aftertaste. I'd try this again when fresh but not optimistic. Oh, there was citrus? Maybe a bit. Thx Stephen neat to try such a unique brew
Simon M. is drinking a Primordial Noir (2017) by Cascade Brewing at City of Vancouver, BC
Enough of lousy celebration beers. Time for the big guns. So tart its hard to notice how deep dark and brightly toasted cherry sweet and dark leathery this is, balances out so nicely when warm. Even some molasses and almost licorice. Great gift thanks

Light cherry blossom nectar nose, big farmhouse yeast, fresh sqzd pink grapefruit juice w/o rind til the aftertaste begins and even then not much. A sessionable double?! No a boozy gut punch; goes down FAST. +.5 for being so unique & well executed.
