J B. is drinking a Mystic DDH DIPA by Bright Brewery at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
LCI (didn’t realize the canned version was different to the bottled). Was really excited to see Mystic make another appearance, especially in big 440ml cans). This is a great beer. The lack of Simcoe makes it a nice alternative to the usual flavours.

A souped-up Los Lobos indeed! Big biscuity, toffee malt aptly balanced by piney hop bitterness. One of those beers the style/intent you may have sort of tasted before but this brew is exemplary.

J B. is drinking a 4th Anniversary IPA by Westside Ale Works at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Six different hops, both US and German. Nice! I didn’t pick up on ‘spiced’ or ‘cardamom’ flavours though.

Earthy, grapefruit, resin. ‘Classic’/‘old school’ aroma, taste, presentation

J B. is drinking an Evergreen King by Westside Ale Works at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Second try. This time I picked up on the yeast’s influence. Creamy, thick, sweet, stone fruit. Very dense. A bit too much for my palate. I prefer a lighter WCIPA. Reminds me of Bonehead’s Triple NEIPA. Pkd August 2020. Too old to fairly appraise.
J B. is drinking a Counter Culture - The Holy Grain by Stone & Wood at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
I only had a taster but, wow!, this beer is exactly as described on the can. I was surprised and impressed with the aroma and flavour - great delivery.
J B. is drinking an IPA by Fury And Son Brewing Company at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
A perfectly enjoyable, lower alcohol WC type IPA. Pine, citrus, chewy malt.
J B. is drinking a Lament Configuration by Deeds Brewing at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Ah, conjuring the magic of ‘Collusion’... One sip of ‘Lament Configuration’ and instantly the memory of the wheat wine came flooding back. What a pleasant surprise. The hops and grain combo really complement one another. Am I tasting Eclipse?

J B. is drinking The Shape of Hops To Come by Akasha Brewing Company at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Can’t believe I didn’t try this last year. I don’t even remember it being in the shop. But, I definitely had a can from the latest batch today. Wooooweee! my kinda hazy - almost see-through, no bitterness, wonderful aroma and flavour, hint of sweetness.

J B. is drinking a Xolo by Hop Nation Brewing Co at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Advertised as a “hazy IPA.” But, no. It’s a FRUITED beer. Lime zest added to the boil. Mango added to the wort. Ferment is a verb not a noun. Had a taste that reminded me of an aroma. Like potpourri.

J B. is drinking a GREEN LIGHTS by Mr Banks Brewing Co. at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
How’s that, huh? Clear! There we go - THAT is a WCIPA. If you’re looking for a sort of updated, modernized WC-style IPA - clear, bright, aromatic, pine, citrus, a bit of the dank, bitter yet still approachable - here you are! Cheers.

J B. is drinking a Hocus Porpoise by Humble Sea Brewing Company at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
Curious. Intense hop aroma and flavour. Lactose? Or is that the Sabro? Or both? Nice, creamy, thick, viscous.

Great bottled orange juice aroma and flavour right down to the ascorbic acid bitterness.

J B. is drinking a SWYD Double Hazy IPA by Ballistic Beer at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
LCI - my fault I didn’t read the label. Not a fan of Nelson Sauvin. Still, this beer smoothed that little problem over quite well.

J B. is drinking a DKAT Amarillo by Deeds Brewing at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
I find the hazy, hyper-dry-hopped ipa ‘vehicle’ for single hopped beers just gets in the way of truly appraising and enjoying the showcased ingredient.

J B. is drinking a Glitter Moon by Revision Brewing Company at Cellarbrations at Tottenham
I needed a reminder of how this beer tasted
Although it says DDH on the label, within the aluminium there’s a delicious NEIPA inside.
