Very musty and earthy nose with notes of cherry. Flavour has a nice earthy must, dark cherries, nice level of tartness. Not the most complex or funkiest of their sours, but given the session status of the beer this is really well done.

Aroma has plenty of dark cherries, some oaky tannins, and a touch of wild yeast. Flavour is full of deep cherry piths, moderate tartness, some oak, and earthiness. Nice tart cherries and oak on the finish. Maybe not as complex as some other Alesong…

Nose has some rum barrel presence upfront, with gentle lactose and cocoa. Flavour has plenty of roasted malt, earthy hops, very gentle rum barrels—more woodiness, and cocoa. Reasonably hopped, moderate roast, just enough rum barrels. Very nice.
