knight o.: Love the whole idea behind these beer, the scientific approach, finding out which of the old Belgian traditions are important for flavor

Juice and hop complexity, doesn't get much better than this.
knight o. is drinking an East Bank - Apricot (Perfection 8/9/19) by Casey Brewing & Blending at Bierens Verf & Wand
Very fruity. Maybe a bit less the nuances of the fruit and now the candy kind of fruitiness, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Also more sour than the last Casey beer I had. Amazing sour beer though and perfect for a sunny spring evening.
knight o. is drinking a Funk Yeah by Beachwood Blendery at Bierens Verf & Wand
Really impressive beer for being a "fake geuze",i.e. not all spontaneously inoculated beer. Could easily next to the "real thing".
knight o.: Giving their own spin on the style, by questions things but with respect for the style. And finally the openness of sharing the information.

Great refreshing pilsner, but could maybe be a bit more bitter. Could drink liters of this though. :-)
Stavros G.: Liters? 😜 Cheers, enjoy slowly your beer. I know Netherlands had a particular take on the Covid-19 crisis... how are things on your side?
knight o.: Hehe, spread over a night let's say. :-) Here everything fine and the interpretation of confinement is a bit more relaxed here. :-)
knight o.: But most people respect the rules. For the rest it's a bit sad that I can't go to Belgium and that quintessence is cancelled. How are you?
Stavros G.: Lot of difficult stuff here. (phone stolen 😬). Send me phone numbers for both of you at [email protected], and I will send you news

Nice dipa, but a bit too sweet and boozy for me.
knight o. is drinking an Oude Geuze (2012) by Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen at Bierens Verf & Wand
Great aged geuze. Very soft, with plenty of vanille notes. Still decent amount of carbonation. Would have liked a bit more sourness still.
