Huge dark and dried fruit aroma leading the way. Also a very potent, boozy aroma. Raisin, subtle vanilla sweetness, chocolate, & definitely ends a bit spiced from the Diamant & Estate hops. Body’s hella smooth for 10.5. Congrats to 30+, New Glarus.

Jason Zipperer: I really enjoyed this one!
Elliot Christiansen: Jason Z. This was pretty good. The hop varieties used kinda took my flavor pallet away from the barley base, but the dried fruits, vanilla & chocolate hints made up for it.

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a King of Carrot Flowers by Ratio Beerworks at Beerd Cave
A gift from Tucker K. That I’m finally getting around to. A bit of sediment I’m guessing due to age, but brightly, carrot forward nose. Fun orange color. Definitely a bit spiced as a saison. Pretty authentic carrot flavor. A bit too carbed for my liking.

Home made spaghetti & meatballs post round. Can’t believe I never had a Bell’s O-Fest yet. Malty, sweet. A slight noble hop spice tinge, but not overlying. Maybe a little thin in body for a Märzen, but well rounded flavor.

Earned the Oktoberfest (Level 21) badge!Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Studebaker Pils by PetSkull Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
Brewed for the International Studebaker Convention that was held in the county a few weekends ago. Floral and sweet aroma. Crystal gold body, crisp, clean, albeit a hint thin in mouthfeel. But a solid event Pils from Skull.
Elliot Christiansen is drinking an Out of Order: Wocka Wocka Pie by RaR Brewing at Beerd Cave
Super thick, shake and batter like body. Aroma is sweet. Taste has a tangy-fruited tart that’s followed by huge doses of banana. Not as heavy in mouthfeel as I was expecting, or as sweet either. Not getting any graham though.
Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Warsteiner Märzen / Oktoberfest by Warsteiner at Beerd Cave
Hmmm, unfortunately just noticed this was last years crop sold this year. Bit of a spicy nose, couple with caramel malt. Bright amber orange pour. Malty, mildly bitter, but a good caramel sweet ending note. For being “out of date,” I’ve had worse.

2023 Crop with Game day spread: Mild candied sweet apple. Very light, effervescent. Maybe a bit light in body, could be due to length of time chilled. Mild tart flavors. It’s OK.

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Luci by Peach Barn Brewing at Beerd Cave
Shared From Meister Wilhelm: Canned Date of 12/22/22. Deep gold body, mild floral smell. A bit herbal in taste that sweetens up. Maybe a bit floral. Feel more Pils than Helles. Maybe fresher is better?
Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Quilter's Irish Death by Iron Horse Brewery at Beerd Cave
Beer given by friends from their trips is always fun! Gifted from Bestie & Wife from their trip to WA this spring. Big malt and dark fruit nose. Dark and heady pour. Malty tones, slight dark fruits, and a hint of roast at the end. Decent.
Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Maibock by Third Space Brewing at Beerd Cave
Friday #properglassware pour. Maybe not the best Bock vessel, but pours pretty. Gushed a bit on opening though. Malty and slightly bitter aroma. Pretty clean and smooth. Hint of sweetness too. Out of season find but I dig it. Dog sitting!

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Digestivo by G5 Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
Pinkish body pour that’s mildly thick. A hint of lemony sweetness in the nose. Very fruity and a bit sweeter. Cherry and sour is subtle. This is very much lead by what I assume is the honeysuckle. Maybe a dash of mint refresher on the end. Lots going on.
Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Key Lime Pie Frootenanny by Fifth Ward Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
New Glass, RATM! As for this, very key lime sour smell. Also getting a hint of graham cracker on the nose too. Very good tart and creamy vanilla. Graham is subtle, but in there. “Some of those the work forces, are the same that burn crosses” 🤘🏻🖕🏻

Slightly amber hue on a pretty foam layered pour. Maybe a hit of bready-biscuity profile. A touch of classic SN bitterness that leads to sweet bread. Body’s a bit hefty too. Yeah, not bad in this years presentation.

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Cherry Limefeld by Fifth Ward Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
Big ass $7 Aldi Pie and a new brew. Big time cherry aroma and very cherry flavor forward. There is enough of a lime rind factor and bite to combat the slight sweetness, but overall… “I smell Cherry.” - Elaine Benes

Elliot Christiansen is drinking The Wolf - Hard Maple Staves And Cocoa Nibs by 3 Sheeps Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
Breakfast brew, and it is in a #properglassware vessel too. Little runny in the pour off. Aroma is very maple forward. Body’s not as robust as some Wolves, but very smooth. Good sweetness form both the maple staves and cocoa nibs. Yep.

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Buffalo Plaid by Fifth Ward Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
Trace amounts of spiced rye, hidden by a a vanilla overlay. Really Rye forward right out of the fridge. Some subtle sweetness and tinge of sticky maple on the lips. Some good Scotchy malted tones as it warms, but kinda expected more here.

Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Plum Bianca by Telluride Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
New album for the collection from my Fuerza Bruta homies. As for the brew, a mild citrus aroma. Hint of plums. Mildly yeasty but not super “Belgiany.” It’s Fair. Thanks Tucker K.
Elliot Christiansen is drinking a Blackberry Groove by O'so Brewing Company at Beerd Cave
More old stock finds that I’m going through. Mild acidic sour smell at first, but the thinner bodied, barely tart factor as in first review still the same. Whatever was once great in Plover, to me is now a far cry away…
Fluffy sweet marshmallow aroma. Also a hint of banana there too. Mild clove and big wheat base. Loads of vanilla sweetness in an almost candied way. Maybe cracked sooner I would love this, but it’s fun.
