Curvature Batch 6 (Ghana Cacao Nibs // Pecan // Caramel) by Phase Three Brewing

Alec K is drinking a Curvature Batch 6 (Ghana Cacao Nibs // Pecan // Caramel) by Phase Three Brewing at Village of Arlington Heights

Chocolate forward. Carmel reads. Pecan does too, but it comes off raw, bitter, & tannic. It could/should have been more toasted. It's super thick & viscous but not oversweet at all due to the bitter elements. Creamy. Concept on point. Chocolate turtle.

Candied citrus, bright tropical passionfruit, & mango. Sweet supportive base, but it's a bit sticky. Could use more head. Good hops though

Genuinely shocked at how well this held up. Honestly, the glass bottles hold much better than cans. Absolutely without question. So much vanilla still coffee lost its bite, but it's still there and blended with maillard cereal grainy aromas.

Tasting real good by the heat of the grill. Good clean flavor. Nice sweet malts. Crisp. Gently floral. Decent head retention. Smooth. Might be the best Greek beer I have had.

Yesss! These peppers jiving with the cinnamon! Slow heat giving way to silky milk chocolate. Nice bourbon spice along for that ride. Subtle vanilla. Great body. Smooth & velvety. Heat & spice balancing the sweetness really well.

DDH Invisible Wings by Phase Three Brewing

Crazy creamy. It's deep & earthy. I was expecting bright, but no. Nice little bite on the back end. Woody & herbaceous with notes of bitter citrus pith. Some sticky flower pollen. It finishes with a mouthcoating drying lupulin sensation.

Code Switch (2018) by Revolution Brewing

Alec K is drinking a Code Switch (2018) by Revolution Brewing at Village of Arlington Heights

Super interesting. It's bright & fruity from the yeasty esters. That highlights atypical fruity qualities from the bourbon. Spicy oak & hints of molasses. It's strong enough to tamp the sweetness down. The acidity keeps this drinkable. Good stuff.

Bourbon forward. The age has mellowed the sweetness & booze & oak spice cut through. Earthy & leathery. Virginia pipe tobacco aroma. Dried fruits. Finishes with a vinous quality.

Cloying is an understatement. My teeth hurt. Sticky caramel, & maple syrup. Boozy heat also bites in this. I regrettably cannot finish this.

Boston Lager by Samuel Adams

Sam adams original vs remastered side by side. Extremely similar, but original has perceivably larger body, which accentuates the caramel notes. Its more viscous & mouthcoating. Slightly sticky. Still great.
