Lots of guava, including the slightly woody, tannic guava sensation you get from the fruit. A massive amount of hops, but still very refreshing, especially for a TIPA.

Lots of barrel character and despite this, the coconut shines strongly: shredded coconut and Gula Melaka, along with condensed-milk caramel flavours. Sweet, but the barrel makes the difference.

Well, it does clearly say “dessert” on the label. Milky but not offensively so, and actually a nice creamy pistachio ice cream sensation here. Works nicely after a turbo-charged Bruery stout.

Raspberry jam, but also somewhat “darker” and less sweet than jam. Definite cooked fruit flavours, a good sweetness but not too much.

Thicc. Age has not wearied it, and despite being a massively adjuncted beer, it’s held up well. Still too gloopy for me to really love, but it’s good as a little dessert break :-)

Definitely get what Dinesh S. And others have always told me about Amburana adding a dry woody note. This has a lot of it. Not bad, but I’m also happy I didn’t need to finish a whole bottle by myself as I think the novelty would wear off.

The 6000 had the early l lead for me but this won out over time in the side-by-side. Also slightly better than the cuvée of both (aka 6500). Distinctly different from the 6000.
