Going for the light and fruity theme today, but this one is hoppy and full bodied. The nose is citrus and I first taste grapefruit but the raspberry takes over the finish. I realize now that the grapefruit is probably the hops & tartness of the berries.

The flavor, appearance and nose are all 4.0. I’ve imposed a 0.25 penalty for the heavy lactose. Yes lactose makes it taste OK. But it covers up flaws as well.

I bought this thinking it was an IPA since it was by Sloop. Turns out it’s a traditional sour ale. This is a style that isnt my favorite, however this particular beer is quite good. Sometimes I can’t drink more than a few sips of this style. Not this!
