Definitely a mix of ale and bourbon aged ale; believe aging would smooth this distinction. Flavor is good with nice lingering bourbon.

Wasn't entirely sure given the hype but it's one of the smoothest most well balanced malts and hop beers I've had. On the sweet side...

Nose is sweet yet stinky. First tastes are sweet with oak and vanilla but then the flavors fall apart and it ends in a mess with some booze
