I suck at aging things.
Alex is drinking a Crème Brûlée (2013) by Southern Tier Brewing Company at Alex & Keely's House
Crazy vanilla nose almost overpowers the beer. Bitterness in the middle. Novelty brew. Need to find more to age.
Alex is drinking a Storm King by Victory Brewing Company at Alex & Keely's House
One of my favorites. Great mouth feel. Hearty hops subside to toasty stout like no other beer I've tried.
Alex is drinking a New World by Samuel Adams at Alex & Keely's House
Nose is good and my first impression was okay as a fruity tripel. Aftertaste doesn't hold up well
Alex is drinking a Baltic Thunder by Victory Brewing Company at Alex & Keely's House
The toffee flavor in this is amazing. Bumping it up t a 5
Alex is drinking an Un*Earthly by Southern Tier Brewing Company at Alex & Keely's House
Piney throughout. Not in a bad way though. Smooth.
Alex is drinking a Tetravis by Samuel Adams at Alex & Keely's House
SAMs club Oaked 3 pack. I wanted to like this beer. I get fig and the finish is smooth with oak. But it's all clove otherwise, too much
Alex is drinking a Red Rocks Red Ale by Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery at Alex & Keely's House
$5 growler Mondays. Went with the Red; forgot how all around good this beer is
Alex is drinking an Imperial Stout (2013) by Boulevard Brewing Co. at Alex & Keely's House
Definitely a mix of ale and bourbon aged ale; believe aging would smooth this distinction. Flavor is good with nice lingering bourbon.
Alex is drinking a Hi-Res (2014) by Sixpoint Brewery at Alex & Keely's House
Wasn't entirely sure given the hype but it's one of the smoothest most well balanced malts and hop beers I've had. On the sweet side...
Earned the Sixpoint Hi-Res badge!Jason R: Sounds pretty fantastic and a badge! Ha. Looking forward to trying something from this brewery sometime. Cheers
Robert Estes: Agree. One if the best IPAs I've had in a long time.
Alex is drinking an Oak Horizontal by Victory Brewing Company at Alex & Keely's House
Nose is sweet yet stinky. First tastes are sweet with oak and vanilla but then the flavors fall apart and it ends in a mess with some booze
Alex: After re-reading this I realize this describes me after a night of imbibing
After I realized I checked into my 666th beer I had to find something in the fridge I'd never tasted...unfortunately this was what I grabbed
