Request a DemoClaire B is drinking a Chocolate Orange Sour by Vault City Brewing at Addiscombe
I've never liked the idea of a milk chocolate Jaffa Cake because why would you do that? But if you did, and made the orange bit really tangy, and then liquidised it all into a beer... actually didn't Jim d. try that sort of thing a few months ago?
Purchased at Vault City Brewing
Claire B is drinking a Cherry Blast Slushy Sour by Vault City Brewing at Addiscombe
It's very cherry, which is distracting me from paying attention to how sour it is. I mean, quite? But then the cherry hits me over the head again. Probably better not to have had it out of that slushie machine in the Glasgow bar and made my sinuses ache.

Claire B is drinking a Twin Cities: Amarillo & Citra by Left Handed Giant at Addiscombe
There's at least a dozen of these combinations from LHG now and I think this is only the third we've managed to get in time. Works well, though: orangy and generally zingy, to the point of sherbet.

Claire B is drinking a Twilight Glow by Left Handed Giant at Addiscombe
Back home and now watching big cats instead of cricket. This has a marked raspberry tartness with a fuller fruity richness behind it, although then it all fades quite quickly.
Purchased at Left Handed Giant Brewing Co.
Claire B is drinking a Kirsch of Life by Vault City Brewing at Addiscombe
More oomph, I demanded. And this is a sour beer with dark chocolate and morello cherries, and it clearly is all those things and equally clearly, once you quash any lingering doubts and just drink it, is a great idea. Black Forest gateau beer. With oomph.

Claire B is drinking a Sacred Souvenir by Left Handed Giant at Addiscombe
Sour cherry and peach, although both are a bit muted, and it's gently tart rather than seriously sour. Enough of this subtlety; it's the end of the week and I want more oomph.
Purchased at Left Handed Giant Brewing Co.
Claire B is drinking a View From The Window by Left Handed Giant at Addiscombe
I think I turned down the chance to drink this with Expressionist sausages when we had lunch at Tate Modern with Tom and Spike in early August, on account of having this can at home (which was actually an accident on my LHG order). It's OK, but is it art?
Purchased at Left Handed Giant Brewing Co.
Claire B is drinking a Radler (Lemon, Grapefruit & Pineapple) by Vault City Brewing at Addiscombe
Sweeter than I was expecting, with pineapple the dominant flavour here but some citrus notes. More like juice than beer.
Purchased at Vault City Brewing
Claire B is drinking a Swindling Your Inheritance by Sinnister Brew at Addiscombe
Whisky, coffee and vanilla notes in an imperial stout that's far too easy to drink. And which turns out to be a collaboration with Otherworld, whose beers I've been having a lot recently. And no maple in this breakfast stout, so safe for Mark.
Claire B: Again, bought from the Craft Beer Cellar.
Claire B is drinking a PuTTTy by Verdant Brewing Co at Addiscombe
This has also just gone past the date on the can but it's still doing it for me. Even juicier than I remembered, plus all the resinous ooge that comes as standard.
Purchased at Verdant Brewing Co
Claire B: If you're working around a looming drinking milestone that's objectively arbitrary and meaningless but somehow you can't just ignore it, this is a great beer to be drinking. But then it's always a great beer to be drinking.
Claire B is drinking a Putty by Verdant Brewing Co at Addiscombe
Should have drunk this over a month ago according to the can, but it's still a splendid dank and resinous thing. Its depth and complexity is actually a step up from the BD TIPA.
Claire B: Bought from the Craft Beer Cellar in Northampton which for some reason isn't now existing on Untappd
Claire B is drinking a Triple Hazy by BrewDog at Addiscombe
Initially seems very like the Double Hazy this time, but before too long its strength makes itself felt. It is a bit more resinous, piney, bitter and indeed strong.
Purchased at BrewDog Home Delivery
Claire B: I mean, to start with there wasn't just a typo but also an erroneous apostrophe in that check-in. Madness. It must be strong
Claire B is drinking a Double Hazy by BrewDog at Addiscombe
Haven't had this for nearly four years and I'm liking it quite a lot. Not very hazy and really rather resinous for the style, which is fine by me. At least borderline 4.

Sir Tubbs is drinking a Disco Midnight by Turning Point Brew Co. at Addiscombe
A roasted pale ale. Quite quaffable, even at 5.1%, which makes it dangerous.
Claire B is drinking a Bourbon County Brand Stout (2019) 15.2% by Goose Island Beer Co. at Addiscombe
Consoling ourselves for the failure of a potentially splendid Beak/Cloudwater collab, this had long been one of my favourite beers in the world.
Claire B: It is very good still, but (whisper it) I have since had even better beers. And I bought it from Beer Hawk, who no longer exist under that name. Everything changes...
Claire B is drinking a Donut by Beak at Addiscombe
This sounded amazing, although I feared the clue was in the name and it might prove to be too sweet – but actually it's not working for either of us and I suspect it's just not a good can rather than not a good beer. I tried, but down the sink it goes.
Purchased at The Craft Beer Cabin SE25
Claire B is drinking an Och, Zimo, Kiedy Się Skończysz? by Cloudwater Brew Co. at Addiscombe
Storm Lilian made me think of autumn (rah) even if not never-ending winter (and no Turkish Delight in sight). But this is full of coffee and molasses and worth staying in for. Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea... is what we're watching now.
Purchased at Cloudwater Brew Co.
Earned the To The Port (Level 100) badge!Andrew S: How long before Untappd introduce a 200 badger? The game goes on.
Claire B: Andrew S. Badgers are just cunning like that sometimes.
Claire B: I am quite surprised that they've left it at 100 levels for so long!
Andrew S: They're very sneaky. Remind me to tell you about a former colleague who was overtaken by badgers on a evening walk, and also threatened by amorous hedgehogs.
Claire B: I am kind of surprised that there isn't more encouragement for something beyond 10,000 unique. Maybe they don't expect most users to hang around that long. I am just as keen on good wildlife stories though!
Claire B is drinking a DIPA v17 by Cloudwater Brew Co. at Addiscombe
It's dank and it's juicy, and it's both daft and good enough to go well with Polite Society. Could score higher if I weren't being distracted by the film.
Purchased at The Craft Beer Cabin SE25
Claire B is drinking a DIPA V16 by Cloudwater Brew Co. at Addiscombe
Mark got this as a Ball of Wonder quite recently and it seemed pretty good. This can doesn't change my mind. It's very New Zealand for an Australian collab, but I'm not complaining.
Purchased at Wee Beer Shop
Claire B is drinking a More Is More by Cloudwater Brew Co. at Addiscombe
Impressively dank resinous hop soup. Although Jim d.'s description makes it sound rather like a Chuck Tingle story.
Purchased at Cloudwater Brew Co.
Jim de Liscard: More things should be like Chuck Tingle stories. Would liven things up a bit. In a butt-pounding sort of way.
Claire B: If I were drinking more than a third of a pint I might well have time to score it higher. Or possibly I'd go off it. Less likely if it were dark chocolate.
