Acton Fall Fair

Good one. On the sweeter side, but nice balance and flavor. Again, having four hops makes it on the messier side of the flavor profile, but they work together.

More herbal, bitter, and spicy than your usual Third Moon jam. Gonna chalk it up to the old world hop terroir. Bit of sweetness mid-palate.

Big citrus, neutral crackery malt bill, low bitterness. Textbook hazy but hard to differentiate in a crowded field. I find things start to get muddy with 3+ focus hops too.

LCI from yesterday. Big canteloupe and honeydew melon flavors. Some dank and grassy notes.

Solid Nelson Sauvin hazy, dank and vinous. Idaho 7 provides some nice citrus in the periphery.

Really digging this new hop. Zesty, bright, citrus, dank, tropical. Easy drinking one with low bitterness.

Nice retro hop profile. Crushable.

Earned the Haze for Days (Level 62) badge!

Nice pithy grapefruit and lemon. A bit yeasty in the finish.

Not as sweet as the soda, mercifully. Some nice lemon-lime acidity. Enjoyable, but barely beer.

Earned the Dessert Time! (Level 28) badge!

Delivers as usual. Big molasses, dark chocolate, and fairly restrained bourbon. Drinks easy on a hot summer evening.

Earned the Cheers to Independent U.S. Craft Breweries (Level 85) badge!

These Pink hops are pretty good and much better than current Galaxy crops. Juicy tropical notes with a doughy malt backdrop.

Seems a bit zestier and spicier than the usual Citra jams. Lemon, grapefruit, papaya. A bit of dreamsicle. Different, but not sure if it is better or worse.

Fruity, both from the whisky and the yeast. Strong caramel and toffee malt profile. Touch of smoke in the aroma. Slightly salty and oaky finish. Drinks lighter than 11%. Nice change of pace from less subtle North American chunkers.

Earned the God Save the King (Level 8) badge!

This was really nice. Bright grapefruit and vinous notes, with some stone fruit and musky funk. Only knock is that it gets too acidic.

Earned the Trip to the Farm (Level 56) badge!

2019 vintage. Big carbonation settles quickly. Pale orange-brown. Aroma is heavy on oak, with cherry pie as it warms. Flavor is sweeter, with less acidity than I expect from the style. It ain't Rodenbach Alexander, but it's a decent take on the style.

Digging this; big lime with a mix of sweet and pithy flavors. Flavor is heavier on the smoke, oak, and wheat, with some tequila and acid in the finish.

Earned the Riding Steady (Level 99) badge!

Dreamsicle! Well-attenuated. Some minor astringency, but nice mix of grassy and citrus flavors.

Pretty good out of the gate. Dark bread, rummy spices, oak, molasses. There's a hint of green apple that suggests this might need a bit more time to settle out, but it dissipates as it warms. Sticky and lingers on the palate.

Big Citra IPA. Creamy, citrus, mango. The amped up body is subtle but noticeable.

Bitter, spicy, and floral, with some pineapple notes. Totally fine, but not my ideal flavor profile. Appreciate the restrained sweetness.
