Not sure this was the best pairing with ribs for dinner. I think the richness of the ribs would have been better suited to a So Happens It’s Tuesday. Nevertheless, this is a nice, smooth stout w/a touch of malty sweetness.

To me this is a classic “old school” stout, plus a nice bourbon note. All is very well balanced, and the bourbon doesn’t smack you in the face. As it warms, more raisins and a slight rum note. Great.
