HOMES Brewery by CONTANGO

Walter F. is drinking a CONTANGO by HOMES Brewery at Loch Erin

Citrus, pine, with some resin and big dank hop notes. Moderate-plus bitterness, juicy front half with a dry finish, plus some grapefruit and the mentioned honeydew. Traces of alcohol, though inoffensive.

HOMES Brewery by METAFORM (key lime)

Walter F. is drinking a METAFORM (key lime) by HOMES Brewery at Loch Erin

Kettle sour intro: soft funk and lime zest nose, short-lived puckering tartness just over moderate; even the perception of graham. Coasts into balance, hop bitterness subdues until melding with the key lime, finishes semi-sweet plus vanilla. A fun ride.

Witch's Hat Brewing Co. by Bumble Bee Water

Walter F. is drinking a Bumble Bee Water by Witch's Hat Brewing Co. at Loch Erin

Aroma akin to grape soda plus some very distant funk. Brief trickle of honey flavor, though minus the sweetness, plus a faint tartness of muddled blueberry, all until dryness and a soda water finish. Scratches the itch well, especially as a seltzer.

New Holland Brewing by Poet’s Brunch Stout

Walter F. is drinking a Poet’s Brunch Stout by New Holland Brewing at Loch Erin

Initially got a little soy sauce, though mostly dissipated as allowed to air. Maple more evident in aroma than flavor, with cinnamon more present in mouthfeel. Big roasty malt and black coffee. Could benefit from a bump of vanilla and a fuller mouthfeel.

Short's Brewing Company by Soft Parade Shandy

Walter F. is drinking a Soft Parade Shandy by Short's Brewing Company at Loch Erin

Fresh berries thrown in a blender with mild tartness. A noticeable splash of lemonade in the finish, with a tingle of grain. Though quite different, much better than the regular Soft Parade in my opinion. Would be a great, refreshing pool beer.
