Not as much chocolate as the label implies but a nice smooth stout with modest spice and a tequila kick.

Prairie Artisan Ales by Ape Snake

This is really interesting! Farmhouse nose and finish, hops up front, and medium malty body. Not fruity. Diverse flavor interplay.

Underwhelmed. Nice ale, but the tequila doesn't really come through much for me. Sour nose, but no sour taste. Sky's the Limit (Level 21) Earned the Sky's the Limit (Level 21) badge!

Very interesting flavor blend though very sweet. Pretty good as is, but this has serious potential to be amazing with age.

This is an interesting beer, but I can't see how it's a doppelbock. More like a caramely barrel-aged stout, but as a lager instead of an ale

Did I buy beer to have with sauerkraut or sauerkraut to have with beer? Does it matter?

This bottle is just four days old (thanks to Inside the Cellar). Nothing like a fresh DIPA.

Full flavored and complex. As others say, let it warm. Not the smoothest -- a little acidic, but has an excellent oak and chocolate nose. Heavy Weight (Level 20) Earned the Heavy Weight (Level 20) badge! Hopped Up (Level 10) Earned the Hopped Up (Level 10) badge!

The hops and the barrel aging go REALLY well together. Notes more like a refined whiskey than just a bash over the head with an oak barrel.
