Jeremy Hall is drinking a Light & Royalty by Radiant Beer Co.
It’s another pilsner that starts bordering on a pale ale, not that I mind. Deliciously balanced and crispy with tropical and citrus notes, particularly grapefruit, lychee, lemon, and a light bready malt. Very clean, refreshing, and a pleasure to drink.

It’s a tour de force combining the complexity of the bourbon county base with a relatively fruity rye. Toffee, caramel, cocoa, and soy sauce come from the stout itself while the barrel incorporates cherries, berries, red fruits and whiffs of pepper.

Intense notes of soy sauce and leather mingle with figs, caramel, and dried tobacco. Time has worked quite nicely for this and it’ll be interesting to see just how much more the savory elements will develop. Also so smooth, balanced, and easy to drink.
Jeremy Hall is drinking a Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier by Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan
Still the defining example of the style. Filled with banana and banana bread, mixed with orange, lemon, and clove, the latter of which leaves a menthol like effect on the finish. A little hazy and chewy, it’s a deliciously smooth and drinkable beer.

While the apricots aren’t really there, accents of peaches and nectarines add nice complexity to a tart and yeasty base with traces of petrol-like minerality. Bright and plentifully carbonated, it’s a nicely made and well-balanced sour overall.
