Sascha Wenninger: A short spark of front-palate tartness gives way to total absence of flavour. The mid palate is like soda water with a few drops of cordial. The back palate brings Brett funk and earthiness but the overwhelming sensation is of tastelessness. :-(

Great woody barrel aroma, and a nice dark malty flavour. Sadly it’s a little sweet in the back palate, where all of the flavours fade and it’s just “sugar!!” considering it spent 20 months in a barrel, I expected more… wood?

Very nice! Solid barrel, good maltiness, and a good sweetness that’s not over the top but makes for a really nicely rounded stout.

A bit fruitier on draft? More apricot and less citrus peel maybe? Still super nicely balanced between the citrus, stone fruit, and hoppy flavours.

Expectations are raised while pouring based on the colour and the wonderfully complex aromas. Tartness and acidity, but also berry skins, dusty oak planks, and earthy notes. But the flavour is barely there and totally disappoints. :-\

Sascha Wenninger: As it warms, the funky, horsey barnyard aromas come out. But still no flavour. Shame.
Infected and in a bad way. It smelled like wet toilet roll cores, and tasted worse. Sadly a drain pour. How this gets past QC for this brewery is a mystery.
