Looks beautifully thick with a color combination of ruby-red, mahagony and brown in the glass. Very creamy, albeit a tad watery. Full load of black currants that make the ale very fruity. Has a nice sourness to it as well.

Was really looking forward to try this again. Super peaty, smokey whisky smell. Weird soapy bytaste with some ashtray mixed in that kinda throws me off. Gets more round as it warms up, so it's not bad per se. Closer to a RIS than a pastry stout.

Dark, malty and a bit roasty with coffee flavours. Aftertaste is straight-up bitter. High carbonation.

Hendrik is drinking a Trappist Westvleteren 12 by Brouwerij De Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren at Untappd at Home
Dark sweet malts, raisins, plums, caramel and rock candy. All in a mellow, creamy, smooth, round and well drinkable package. No signs of alcohol at all. Not what I would call the best beer in the world but surely a good brew.
A bit soapy, with a caramelly, malty base and some piney, bitter hops added to it. Slightly sticky, medium body. Resinous. Sounds good but I had trouble actually finishing this one. Tastes strangely strong, unbalanced and somewhat weird. Low carbonation.
