Simon Read is drinking a Reading, Writing & Arithmetic by Marble Beers Ltd at The Bull & Finch
Smells like blackcurrant! This continues with deep earthy citrus and bitterness. Very different to a US or NZ hopped IPA. Rather nice though, cool to taste English hops in this format.
Simon Read is drinking a Parka by Double-Barrelled Brewery at The Bull & Finch
Soft with a bit of dankness coming in too.
Simon Read is drinking a Bandit by The Gipsy Hill Brewing Co. at Gipsy Hill Brewery & Taproom
Enjoying this less compared to when it was 3.8%. Still pretty tasty, perhaps a bit too overly carbonated
Simon Read is drinking a Picnic Beer Quince by DEYA Brewing Company at Untappd at Home
Not sure I’ve ever had quince not in jelly form. Tastes a bit like an earthy, less sweet apple. Taste is this with some mustiness too. Not super complex, but a rather nice taste all the same.
Purchased at DEYA Brewing Company

6.8%. A beautiful heady yeasty aroma. Almost sweet! This continues in the taste, but it’s bone dry, bitter, peppery and spicy. Classic Belgian goodness, and better than a lot of actual Belgian stuff. Incredibly drinkable too.
