The base beer is very good, mind you. But somehow the rum cask is a bit dominant and doesn't quite well integrate with the other flavours. This beer has seen better barrels.

Woaah. Sweet, intense dark chocolate, licorice, bourbon, roast, coffee, dark fruits (fig?), barrel goodness. Full and balanced. Very, very good BA stout

If you like your barley wine straight up malty, raisiny and caramel-forward, this is a fine example. Old school English style so dont expect heaps of hops in this one.

Ok, this is some serious stuff. Sweet tropical fruits, citrus, some grassy complexity in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet, but drying. Very well balanced. These guys can do more than just brew thick stouts
Very thick, they know how to do that. Sweet, roast, some tonka/cinnamon-ish notes not unlike a cinnamon roll. Some whisky in the aftertaste. Rum and bourbon barrels are barely noticeable.The dark candy sweetness overpowers and makes it messy and cloying
