A sweet caramel, almost bubblegummy (or poundcakey) nose, interesting. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Finish has nice, lightly roasted malt notes, faint bitterness. An intriguing ESB.

Aged 2 years. Sweet cocoa nose, very faint oxidation. Moderate, slick body, still effervescent. The chili heat remains, nice bite, w/ sweet dark chocolate finish. This has really held up, maybe even better than a year ago!

Very smooth coffee-forward nose, b/w some silky glazed sweetness. Fairly light but satiny body, light carbonation. Coffee is forefront on the finish, w/ notes of roast & dark chocolate. The coffee lingers a little too long for me. It’s a sneaky 14%!
