Nathan Chinchen is drinking a King Goblin by Wychwood Brewery
Big, strong, complex taste. A challenging mix of hard to define flavours and aromas; dates, treacle, tar and an almost savoury aspect to it. More interesting than pleasant.
Nathan Chinchen is drinking an Organic Pale Ale by St. Peter’s Brewery Co.
A bit malty with some hoppy bitterness mingled with a slightly sweet treacle taste. A little cloying and slightly insipid for me. Not my cup of tea.

Clean, light and refreshing with a lively, slightly citrus aftertaste.

Light, pleasant and mellow. Smooth and drinkable but a bit tame and ultimately little of interest. The beer equivalent of Anthea Turner.

Lovely strong old-fashioned style ale. Big, well-rounded, deep flavour. Manages to be strong and powerful yet easy-going. The beer equivalent of Geoff Capes.
