Zach Attack is drinking a Munro by Barreled Souls Brewing Company
Surprised it took me this long to try the base beer after having so many Big Munro batches. While I love the aforementioned and the wee heavy style, this isn’t quite there IMHO. Very dry, lots of plum and raisin, minimal toffee, and quite watery.

Lots of enjoyable bourbon barrel, fairly roasty, dark chocolate, surprisingly thin. Not quite on the adjuncted Tonka level or BSB’s non-adjunct BA stout front either.

Zach Attack is drinking a Tonka (w/ Almonds, Tahitian Vanilla, And Salted Caramel) (2024) by Barreled Souls Brewing Company
So many adjuncts, not enough time. And yet, despite my current disinterest in adjuncted beers, this was approachable and enjoyable, with the all three juncts presenting themselves well and coalescing with the barrel and a lingering dry, fruity finish.
Really easy drinking nightcap; I was afraid this was going to be way too much maple and/or cinnamon, but thankfully there was a harmonious union between the two, plus vanilla and chocolate. Decent body as well.
