The Whole Cone Autumn Ale label

A solid, no-frills hoppy red/amber that isn’t too sweet. Good.

  • Kenji Wilkinson: Only lightly hoppy aroma from the glass: mostly resin with some grapefruit zest. Much clearer from the can; I imagine the aroma was quite nice when younger. As is, perfectly pleasant. Caramel and honey aromas also come through.

  • Kenji Wilkinson: Flavor is quite nice. Less sweet than I was expecting. Hop flavor predominant (piney, herbal, lemon-y), though bitterness is low-mid. Restrained caramel sweetness, balanced with rich toasty bread.
