Fine carbonation creates a lush mouthfeel but it’s very crisp and suddenly dry and hoppy at the end. Slight floral (honeysuckle, jasmine) on the nose. A fantastic beer that, like all great lagers, is rated too low.

Astonishingly thick and deep. Coffee, cocoa powder, coconut and more coconut, that signature OH wild Thai banana. Bourbon mostly on the nose. A huge beer but also restrained where it wants to be—like in the interestingly dry finish. Near perfect.

Pine tree nose when cold, and opens up to some deep, welcome funk and background tropical fruit when it warms. A great beer very worthy of the re-brew.

Being honest, this is more barrel than I ordinarily like. But with that said, this is an exemplar of the style. Bourbon booziness goes well with the dried fruit flavors and chocolate/coffee aftertaste. Carbonation adds some welcome brightness.

Simple and devastating. Banana and coconut, but toasted and roasted and caramelized. Base flavor is an almost burnt sugar syrup with the fruit on the nose and top of the palette. A thicc kickoff to stout season.
