This was fairly solid. Good hoppy bit with a good,.slightly astringent sweetness. It reminded of what a lager yeast brings, a slight metallic undertone. I liked the balance.

Founders never disappoints. The hop character is aggressive. Early kettle build hop oil leave the palate coated. Danky Simcoe and a west coast "C" hop make this perfect for a lawnmower session for those that roll like that

This still isnt, IMO, a "West" coast IPA. This is a floral, new england. None of the 3 C's. It's good, a lot of Mpsaic with that watermelon grass note.

Doesn't drink like an imperial. Bottled 7/29/25. It's interesting this was one of those whale beers back in the day. This is great, but I think I've had better. Love the clarity, hop character, and history.
